A HEAVY duty chain securing a barn which police claimed "cannot be cut through" failed to deter tractor thieves at Guyhirn.
For instead of removing the chain they cut through the barn door handles before stealing the tractor, which still had the ignition key in it.
They then drove off through a field, say police, who are investigating the theft from Thorney Road between 4pm on August 4 and 7.30am the next day.
Agricultural equipment was stolen the same night from March Road, Guyhirn.
