THIEF John Austin was re-sentenced this week, after magistrates were told that he needed "considerable support".
Back in June, 19-year-old Austin was given an 80-hour unpaid work order for stealing three computer games and possessing two knives.
"I do not think he has the capacity to comply with the work hours," Graeme Seddon from the probation service told Fenland magistrates on Tuesday.
The court agreed that Austin, of The Foyer, Wisbech, should have his work order revoked, and replaced with an 18-month supervision order that will help him with literacy, numeracy and relationship problems.
