A TEAM of drivers from Wisbech Grammar School has qualified for the national finals of the Greenpower endurance competition.
At the Rockingham eastern region heat the school entered two vehicles and the new car, Twincambs Too.
They led the field for a time in the four-hour endurance race before finishing in second place, which led to automatic qualification for the finals in October.
Two days before, in the Goodwood Greenpower heat, the school's other car, Twincambs, had also gained a respectable place.
Pits manager Mr Phil Bannister said: "I am very pleased with the outcome of the day and the effort that the lads put in and the fact that the driver changeovers were probably the best in the field at 24 seconds on average, which kept us in the front.
