THIS eye-catching image of a handover in the Round Norfolk Relay was enough to earn Tim Chapman top prize in the race organisers’ photographic contest.
The Wisbech Grammar School teacher, a former winner of the competition, triumphed again in the ‘After Dark’ category.
The annual 24-hour relay covers 197 miles of Norfolk in 17 stages, running through the night. Competitors from each club carry a baton over distances varying from five to 20 miles.
Mr Chapman, a former chairman of Fenland Running Club, won the 50 prize after taking his winning picture Handover at Horsey at a changeover point near Yarmouth.
He said: “Taking a night-time picture is a big challenge but a good idea, because it is a 24-hour event.”
