Suspected thieves arrested in Wisbech St Mary after resident's tip-off to police

THREE suspected thieves were arrested in a Fenland village thanks to an eagle-eyed member of the public.

A resident alerted police to a suspicious 4x4 near to a building site in Beeching Close, Wisbech St Mary, at about 9.55pm on Wednesday.

Police arrived and arrested a 21-year-old man and two 16-year-old boys on suspicion of theft.

Police also seized a green Nissan Terrano and a metal barrel recovered from the vehicle.
