POLICE have released full details of their success following an afternoon of action in Wisbech last week.

A number of the force's partner agencies, including the DVLA, Cambs Fire and Rescue Service and Fenland District Council, joined police officers last Wednesday to tackle community issues such as speeding and anti-social behaviour.

The afternoon had the following successes:

# The DVLA, with their automatic number plate recognition van, caught 66 vehicles without tax out of 5,409 checked

# DVLA officers on foot found three parked vehicles with no tax

# Fenland Council handed out three duty-of-care notices to vehicles carrying waste

# Peterborough City Council seized one vehicle for no tax and insurance

# Two speeding tickets were issued by police, along with various verbal warnings

# Five drivers were given notices to produce their documents to police

# Police called at 30 homes passing on information about home and personal security, and

# Firefighters visited 16 homes, fitting up to 30 fire alarms.
