Children from a Wisbech school staged a show on the life and times of King Henry VIII with a full selection of period clothing thanks to a former dance school teacher who made all their costumes.
Children at St Peter’s Junior School performed the music and dance show for teachers and parents, decked out in the heritage costumes made by Cynthia Maxey.
Teacher Caroline Adams said: “It took Cynthia about 120 hours and the costumes all looked amazing.
“Cynthia’s daughter, Anne Marie Waterston, works as a teacher here which is how she got involved, the children really looked the part.
“The production was part of history lessons for our year four students.”
The costumes will be stored at the Trafford Road school for future productions.
They are already being put to good use for the second time when children wear them for a history trip to Burghley House this week.
