The Mayor of Wisbech, Councillor Peter Human, was on hand to re-open the town’s branch of Specsavers following a major refurbishment.
The store, located at 9 Market Place, marked its 15th year of being in the town this month and had a refit, which created a new testing room, more seating, an audiology area and better the access for elderly and disabled customers.
Mayor Cllr Human, said: “It was a pleasure to be asked to come and officially open the new store and I’m keen to support local businesses in the community.
“As a customer I can most certainly see the difference, and I have to say how impressed I am with the improvements made.”
Mike Avery, store director at Specsavers in Wisbech, said: “We are always looking at how we can improve our services and facilities to better service our customers and this refit is a great step forward.
“It means we are able to add more weekly clinics to help reduce waiting times for appointments, as well as creating a lovely environment for customers when they visit us.”
