Three Wisbech burglaries in which Asian jewellery has been targeted and windos have been forced has prompted a warning from police.

Three Wisbech burglaries in which Asian jewellery has been targeted and windos have been forced has prompted a warning from police.

The break-ins happened in Fenland Road on October 30 and in Old Lynn Road and Winceby Close on November 3.

In the first, a window was forced, all rooms were searched and jewellery taken from a bedroom.

In Old Lynn Road, a window was forced, the property searched and family jewellery along with a large amount of cash was stolen.

The home in Winceby Close had a rear patio door smashed and cash was stolen from a piggy bank.

Police are attempting to trace a black car with a registration starting DV57.

Detective Sergeant Mark Plitsch said: “We would urge residents to be vigilant and consider upgrading their home security if they can.

“Anyone who would like advice on home security or a security survey carried out at their home should get in touch.”
