RUNNERS-UP Holmes House heave together during Wisbech Grammar School’s annual tug of war challenge.
Senior students belonging to the school’s four houses - Sparks, Holmes, Clarkson and Peckover - contested the mixed-team, best-of-three contest.
Sparks took the title followed by Holmes and Clarkson, with last year’s champions Peckover in fourth place.
Tim Chapman, head of houses, said: “Tug of war used to be an Olympic event, but the school keeps up the crowd-pulling tradition by starting the house competitions with this event at the start of the autumn term.”
