WISBECH Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society has secured the use of the main hall at the Queen's School, Wisbech, as the permanent venue for future productions.

The move comes after the society's highly successful staging of the hit Broadway musical Annie earlier this year.

The society lost the use of the Empire Theatre four years ago after several decades of staging many successful musical shows and pantomimes there.

An open read was held last Thursday at the school ready for their Christmas pantomime Pinnochio, with cast auditions to take place in the dance studio at the Queen's School on Sunday. Principal auditions start at 10am while dancer and chorus auditions start at 1pm.
