Youngsters made chatter matter at a Fenland nursery school as they raised money for a charity which helps children who struggle to communicate.
More than 100 children at Emneth Nursery School and Children's Centre sang nursery rhymes, relating to day, night and space, for almost half-an-hour to raise money for ICAN as part of the Chatterbox Challenge 2007.
Two sessions, dubbed by centre staff as "making chatter matter", were held so every child could take part, and sign language was used by the children to support the songs. Parents and family members added their support by joining their youngsters in singing.
The nursery school has even more reason to take part because five children who attend the centre are on the ICAN project.
