OUTWELL'S annual charity fair was held for the last time on Saturday and raised £550 for the individual charities represented at St Andrew's Methodist Church.
Organiser of the 'Under One Roof' event for the past 15 years Elizabeth Hayes said: "In a nutshell we have found it difficult to get new charities to sell goods. We began by selling Christmas cards only, but then it grew to 12 or 13 different stalls selling all kinds of goods.
"That number has dwindled and most charities have events of their own so it is not really worthwhile carrying on with it. It has been a good thing but I feel as if it has had its day."
Over the 15 years the fair has raised more than £15,000 for various charities but Mrs Hayes said Saturday's total was less than half of previous years.
