JANE McClagish stole £500 from her brother-in-law Andrew McClagish when she breached a position of trust, Fenland magistrates heard.

McClagish was in charge of paying money into a new account on behalf of Mr McClagish and was the only person who had paid in money.

But McClagish, of Bath Cottages, Wisbech, admitted taking £100 on August 16, 2005; £100 on October 26,

2005; £150 on November 10, 2005; £30 on December 1, 2005; and £120 on January 9, 2006.

After a family feud, Mr McClagish decided he did not want the defendant to run the account any more.

John Clarke, defending, said: "It is a crime undertaken over a relatively long period of time and my client was in a position of trust.

"Her brother-in-law gave her the PIN number so she could pay in the money but she could take out the money as well."

McClagish was given unconditional bail until October 24 for a pre-sentencing report.
