A sheep had to be rescued by fire crews yesterday after it fell into a river on March Road in Guyhirn.
Specialist crews from March and Dogsthorpe who are trained in animal and water rescue were called to the incident at 1.40pm.
They used specialist equipment to rescue the sheep after a passing couple walking their dogs notified Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service.
Crews took just over two hours to rescue the animal before returning it to the rest of its flock.
