Sheep dies after getting stuck in deep water in Wisbech despite Cambs Fire rescue attempt

A sheep that got stuck in deep water in Wisbech died on Sunday morning despite a rescue attempt by Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue.

One crew from Wisbech and another from Dogsthorpe entered the water to free the sheep and tried to resuscitate it on the bank with specialist kit from Smokey Paws. Sadly, the sheep died at the scene.

Smokey Paws is a not for profit company which donates pet oxygen masks to the UK fire service.
