ONE of Thomas Clarkson Community College’s success stories came back to give a motivational talk to current pupils.

Kirsten Rumblelow left the school in Corporation Road, Wisbech last year with 10 higher grade passes.

She went on to gain entry at the Army College in Harrogate and is currently studying for a range of qualifications which include military history and car mechanics.

The 17-year-old told the current crop of Year Nine students: “Working hard in all your lessons and applying yourself to your learning will really make a difference to the choices and chances you have when you leave school.”

Sarah Loosemore, head of the college’s learning community, said: “We are proud to welcome Kirsten back to share her experiences with our younger students.

“It had a really positive impact on them to hear encouraging and inspirational words from an ex-student.”
