A PLANNING application has been submitted for a junior hall at Wisbech Grammar School.

Magdalene House, the school's junior department, has seen a surge in pupil numbers from 83 in 1997, when it opened, to 195 this year.

Headteacher Robert Repper says proposals are being looked at to create a new junior school and two extra classrooms at the North Brink site.
