THE Cabinet Maker, a Wisbech business, was featured on Channel 4's Property Ladder programme on Tuesday.

The programme focused on a thatched cottage in Elm which needed a new kitchen. The owner wanted to make the kitchen himself and was persuaded by the programme makers to have someone else do it.

The Cabinet Maker, based in Boleness Road, tendered for the job and won the contract. It took the company about three weeks to make and install the kitchen. Filming took place last April/May when the production company spent half a day at The Cabinet Maker's workshop, which ended up as about 60 seconds of transmission on Tuesday's programme.
