THE Wisbech branch of the Royal British Legion raised a whopping 15,296.11 last year - more than any other branch in Cambridgeshire.
The branch was presented with the county rose bowl at the Black Bear in Walsoken.
It was the third time Wisbech branch won the rose bowl. It also won the bowl in 1998 and 2005.
All the money was raised during the annual poppy appeal, through collection points in shops and around supermarkets and through street collections.
About 40 volunteers raised the money.
