WATCHES and jewellery worth more than �50,000 and a Mitsubishi truck worth �15,000 were stolen from a home in Terrington St John.

Rolex watches, a Chanel watch and a pocket watch were all included in thieves' haul.

The burglary took place some time between 7.30pm on Easter Sunday and 3am the following day at a house in Old Church Road.

Thieves gained access to the home by breaking open a window before carrying out a search and making off with a safe containing the various watches and jewellery.

The watches include:

• A men's Rolex, white gold and chunky in style,

• A men's yellow gold Rolex with diamonds around the face.

• A lady's Chanel watch with a white face with pink diamonds,

• A lady's Rolex watch of yellow gold with diamonds around numbers and diamonds and rubies around face, and

• A men's Half Hunter pocket watch.

A black Mitsubishi L200 4x4 truck, bearing the registration AE58DPY and valued at approximately �15,000, was also stolen.

A police spokeswoman said: "Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have noticed anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident or who may have been offered such items for sale in suspicious circumstances."
