Residents of Fenland village encouraged to love where they live again during community event

A COMMUNITY event with a Valentine’s theme was held to encourage people living in a Fenland village to take pride in the place where they live.

The ‘Fall in Love with your Neighbourhood’ gathering was held at the Terrington St Clement Sure Start Children’s Centre. It was organised by the people behind the Charter for Terrington St Clement, which aims to create a greener, safer and cleaner environment.

Residents were told what is being done to make them fall in love with their village. They also met their housing association representatives and all received a Valentine’s gift.

The village charter is being led by Norwich-based Wherry Housing Association (WHA), the consortium which has been implementing a common neighbourhood and estate management for the village since it’s launch last year.

Laura Broome, acting neighbourhood officer for WHA, also attended as standards are being set and monitored by the village’s residents.
