JEWELLERY valued at £2,000 was stolen in a ram-raid on a Wisbech store.
The incident happened at the H Samuel store in the Horse Fair at 3.20am on Wednesday when a stolen green Rover Metro was used to smash through the shutters.
The thieves then smashed the glass behind the shutters with an axe and ran off with the jewellery.
The car was abandoned at the scene and has been taken away for examination, with four white gold wedding rings that were touched in the raid.
The store was closed on Wednesday while police carried out investigations and staff cleaned up the mess.
