The Prince’s Trust at Wisbech crew are into week four of their 12 week course and they decided they wanted to improve their base at the upstairs church hall of St Peter and Paul’s church.

The renovations include replacing the small kitchenette at a cost of around £1,000.

A sponsored swim took place at the Hudson pool in Wisbech with three of the team swimming 62 lengths between them.

Canon Matthew Bradbury gave permission to close off the car park and the team made posters and shared on social media to drum up business.

The first car wash took place in terrible conditions and carried on when it started raining.

More than 20 cars were washed and cakes sold to raise about £250. Wickes added to the pot by donating paint and brushes.

Once the community project finishes the team take part in a fortnight of work experience to improve their employability.
