Police appeal for witnesses to sexual assault
OFFICERS are investigating a sexual assault which took place in Wisbech. A 17-year-old girl was walking along Weasenham Lane between 4.30pm and 5pm on Monday, January 8 when a man approached her. The man then sexually assaulted the girl before continuing
OFFICERS are investigating a sexual assault which took place in Wisbech.
A 17-year-old girl was walking along Weasenham Lane between 4.30pm and 5pm on Monday, January 8 when a man approached her. The man then sexually assaulted the girl before continuing to walk along Weasenham Lane.
The man is described as being around 5'6", fat with a scruffy appearance. He was in his early to mid 40s with short dark hair and a beard or moustache. He wore a dark red faded sweatshirt which was too small.
PC Julie Coales, who is investigating, said: "This was extremely distressing for the victim and I am appealing to anyone in the Weasenham Lane area of Wisbech to think back.
"Do you remember seeing a man fitting the description walking along the road on Monday, January 8?
"Any information could prove valuable to the investigation."
