ORGANISERS of Wisbech Christmas Market have appealed for residents to help the event triumph in the national Market of the year competition.
The market has been entered in the Best Specialist Market category of the competition, which is run by the National Association of British Market Authorities.
Mike Chapman, the markets and events manager at Fenland District Council, urged people to vote for it by visiting www.nabma.com/votePopup.php
He said: “The Wisbech Christmas Market is one of the annual highlights of the eastern region’s events calendar. It is hugely popular locally – last year it attracted 10,000 visitors despite four inches of snow - but it deserves to get even wider recognition.”
