Knights in shining armour and medieval characters took over Tesco Extra, Wisbech at the weekend to raise money for charity.
Phoenix Medieval Re-enactment visited the store on Saturday to spread the message about their weekend-long fundraising event next month.
“It went really well,” said group leader Graham Wyatt. “We were there to promote a show that we’re putting on in June and we also raised £40 to go towards our charity causes.
“This year we’re raising funds for the intensive care unit and children’s hospice at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn.
“Everything we raise gets put in a charity pot and is split later in the year.
“We’re a fun, family friendly group and are always open to meet new members and train them up.”
The group’s Medieval Pageant, featuring historical displays, archery and knights, takes place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 at The Field, Outwell Road, Emneth.
