Person cut free from car which ended up in Leverington ditch

A car ended up in a ditch on Leverington Common on Friday.

At 5.44pm, one crew from Wisbech and one crew from March were called to a road traffic collision on the B1169, Leverington Common.

Crews used specialist cutting equipment to release one person, who was left in the care of the ambulance service.

The road was closed while the rescue was carried out.

Crews returned to their stations by 7.05pm.
