Celebrate the anniversary of Peckover House joining the National Trust with a gallery art day.
The Wisbech house continues to celebrate its commemorative year, as it marks 70 years since it came into the care of the Trust.
Art is taking centre stage in its anniversary programme during 2018, with visitors invited to take part in a celebratory art day on Saturday June 30 from 11.30am.
An installation called Transitions in Time takes pride of place in the drawing room.
The work has been created by Sarah Evans and David Kefford of Aid and Abet, who continue to work on the installation through local community projects.
The art day is a chance to get involved in activities through a series of workshops throughout the day, when visitors will be invited to try their hands at collage and cyanotypes, art involving photography.
Ben Rickett, operations manager, said: “Art has always been important to the Peckover family
“Sarah and David are continuing that work with their projects this year and we look forward to our visitors joining in and getting involved with our very first art day”.
Their work incorporates sculpture, drawing, moving images, live events, performance, and workshops.
