A HOUSE in Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge, was burgled while the owner was away and a large number of items were stolen.

Thieves removed passports, flight tickets, a flat screen TV, a TV, a computer, a microwave oven and a camera. In fact, the house was virtually cleared of all electrical items and other paperwork including bank cards and house keys.

The raid took place between 7pm last Thursday and 7.30am on Friday. It is believed that the offenders forced entry through a rear window.
