A woman has been left “absolutely gutted” after her graffiti workshop was cancelled yesterday afternoon – just a day before it was planned to go ahead and after £600 had been spent on it.
The workshop, which hoped to cure the summer holiday boredom of a number of youngsters by allowing them to show off their artistic side at Guyhirn Village Hall, had its plug pulled at 3pm on Monday.
Marie Coles, who organised the workshop, said: “I am absolutely gutted.
“We paid for it months ago because we thought it was a really good, nice way of involving people in decorating something that will be there for a long time.”
The event was offering anyone over the age of 10 the chance to work with two professional graffiti artists in decorating the village hall.

Mrs Coles added: “Out of the two artists we had booked, yesterday one of them said they were too ill to attend and the other couldn’t come because he is without a car.”
She said she is too gutted to even think about rescheduling the workshop.
