SCHOOLCHILDREN created their own special place as part of a centenary environment project.
Organisers at Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House want to get 100 schools to sign up the ‘Our Place’ scheme by 2012.
The aim is to get pupils to look at their environment and create their own special place to treasure.
St Peters Church of England Primary School in Wisbech has already made an area of recreated Fen as part of the project.
Schools which have visited the house in South Brink have been given geraniums and a rose by Wisbech in Bloom chairman Brian Massingham to give them a kick start.
