GOREFIELD couple Bill and Glad Devine celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at their local village hall on Sunday.
The couple were married on Christmas Day 1947 at St Mark's Church, East London. Because of a family bereavement they were unable to hold a wedding reception at the time.
Friends and relations enjoyed a nostalgic afternoon and evening with a 20-minute film show, 1940s music. The finale was the couple, who live in St Mark's Road, Gorefield, dancing to their favourite song, Till The End Of Time by Perry Como.
