A MAIN street in Wisbech was closed last night when police hunted for a man wanted in connection with an assault.
Norwich Road was closed shortly after 5pm while police looked round a home in the street. However, no arrests were made and the road was reopened by 7pm.
A police spokeswoman said: "Officers entered a property in Norwich Road, Wisbech yesterday afternoon looking for a man who is wanted in connection with an assault.
"While officers were working at the property part of Norwich Road was closed. No arrests were made.
