THERE was such a fantastic response to an appeal by Friends of Wisbech Park for bird and bat boxes that they had some boxes to spare.
Bat boxes and tawny owl boxes have been put up in the Park, and the Friend have been able to donate some of the extra boxes to the Friends of St Peter’s Gardens.
David Edwards of the Friends of Wisbech Park said: We would like to thank everyone who made the boxes. I would like to say a special thanks to Mr Victor Leuty of Sutton St James for the small boxes he made in his workshop, and Mr Ken Newman of Wisbech who made tawny owl nesting boxes along with many bat boxes.”
Anyone who wants to get involved in the project or wish to donate a box is asked to contact David Edwards on edwards_david@hotmail.com or call 07866343969.
