A CHANGE of address offers a new future for the Wisbech branch of the Royal Air Force Association following a decision by members to relocate to a less-costly property.

For almost 40 years Astral House, a three-storey Georgian town house with almost 20 rooms in Old Market, was used for meetings.

But in recent years members used only about a third of the floor space.

Now the branch has moved to former monument masons' premises in Lynn Road, which had been recently redeveloped and used latterly as a tanning studio.

Chairman Ray Hutchinson said: "What we have now is an HQ building that is large enough for our current and future needs. It is clean, warm and comfortable, as well as welcoming to our friends."
