Piano players will take turns to play all the way through the day on July 4 at Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House.
The Piano Playathon will raise funds to pay for the refurbishment of the long room piano keyboard mechanisms and eventually buy a replacement piano.
Those taking part will be members of The Octavia Hill Piano Practice Group and their teachers, Loc-Mai Yuen-Brooker and Julia Skaife.
Piano Practice Group members are of all ages, from six to 80-plus, all abilities, and play all types of music - classical, jazz, show tunes.
They meet on the first Saturday morning of the month and the second Wednesday evening of the month.
