STUDENTS at Wisbech Grammar School charmed parents and tourists alike when they performed a chamber concert at Peckover House.
The school’s chamber choir and steel pan quartet, together with soloists from both groups, laid on a programme ranging from Handel to show songs in the library of the historic town house.
The concert followed last year’s Christmas celebration in the historic library and a series of tea-time concerts at the Reed Barn over the summer.
Assistant director of music Jane Missin said: “It was nice for the instrumentalists and singers to feel the intimacy of performing in a setting such as the library.”
Musicians from the school are now preparing for this year’s Christmas celebration, to be held at Peckover House, on December 11 at 2pm.
