Moped rider escapes serious injury in Wisbech collision but police launch appeal for witnesses

A moped rider escaped with only slight injuries after being involved in a collision with a van in Wisbech.

It happened on Norwich Road junction with Mount Drive at 4.09pm yesterday.

“Did you witness the collision,” said a police spokesman. “If you witnessed the collision please phone 101 and quote incident 333.”

The spokesman added: “The rider was checked over by ambulance at the scene. The rider walked away with slight injuries to his knees.”
