Fire crews are currently tackling a blaze in a barn at Mepal near Chatteris.

Smoke from the fire is travelling towards Chatteris and residents are being advised to shut their windows.

Details of the fire are sketchy, but Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue say it broke out at industrial premises on Chatteris Road, Mepal.

A fire service spokesman said: “A barn containing recycled card and paper is involved.
