Staff, parents and families gathered to watch a dozen Meadowgate Academy students dressed in their finery celebrate leaving school.
The Leavers’ Prom for the Wisbech school was held on the evening of Thursday July 19.
As well as perfect weather, the students looked very grown up as they were whisked away for a tour of the town on a Routemaster London double decker bus.
They arrived at Elme Hall to a welcoming committee of well-wishers and plenty of photographs were taken to capture the special occasion.
The group, supported by staff members Jackie Boxall, Helen Dennis, Aiden Rouse and Owen Dobson then enjoyed a three-course meal at the Hotel.
Emma Bird, sixth form co-ordinator at Meadowgate Academy, said: “It’s always a bittersweet moment to see these students dressed so beautifully as it’s a reminder of another year completed.
“But we are so proud of their achievements and wish them all the best of luck for their futures.”
