Marshland St James man is named as victim of crash in which car ended up in water filled ditch

Police have this afternoon named Andrew Jarvis as the man who died after his car crashed into a water filled ditch on Tuesday morning.
Mr Jarvis, 32, of Marshland St James, died following the accident at St Johns Fen End near Wisbech.
His family have issued a statement paying tribute to Mr Jarvis, who was on his way to work at Palm Paper, when the accident happened.
Police were contacted just after 7.25am to reports of a Volkswagen vehicle in a water filled ditch at Gravel Bank.
Emergency services attended and Mr Jarvis was discovered inside the vehicle. Efforts were made to resuscitate him, however he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Jarvis’s family said: “The family of Andrew Jarvis has been devastated by his tragic death. He was a hard working fiancé, daddy, son, brother, uncle and cousin. He was the kindest, caring and most easy going man anyone could have had the pleasure of knowing and loving.”
An inquest will be opened into his death in due course.
