THERE was a marked improvement in GSCE results at Marshland High School in West Walton.
A total of 36per cent of students gained five or more A*-C including English and maths compared to 29per cent the previous year.
And 52 per cent of students gained five or more subjects A*-C in any subject compared to 43 per cent the previous year.
Headteacher Matthew Parr-Burnam, said: "It is a significant increase and we are really happy. This is down to the hard work of students and staff. We've had quite significant staffing difficulties this year, but we still got improvements, so it goes to show how hard they all work.
