MARIE Curie Cancer Care fundraisers and the charity's mascot daffodil launched their month-long Great Daffodil Appeal at a Wisbech store.
Fundraisers Karen Chesney and Rebecca Randall - complete with daffodil cut-out heads and daffodil hats - and Daffy, the human-sized mascot, were at Tesco last Thursday inviting people to make a donation in return for a daffodil pin. Every donation for a daffodil helped the charity towards its target of raising £5.5million, to help give millions of people free specialist end-of-life care from Marie Curie Nurses.
