A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man and a woman were stabbed in March yesterday.

Police were called to an address in Badgeney Road, where they found a 34-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman who had both been stabbed.

There were both taken to Peterborough District Hospital where they conditions were today described as "stable".

A 35-year-old Lithuanian man, from March has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently being held at Wisbech Police Station.

The injured man and woman were also from March and are believed to be foreign nationals.

Detectives were called to the scene at 9.30am yesterday and an investigation has been launched.

Scenes of crime carried out a thorough search of the area, and the investigation is being headed by Det Insp Michael Branston.
