A MARCH man charged with two counts of attempted murder was remanded in custody by Fenland magistrates today (Tuesday).

Egidijus Lisinskas, 35, of Bronze Street, is alleged to have attempted to murder his wife Laura Lisinskiene and Arimundias Augas in March on Saturday, January 25.

Lisinskas, who appeared in the dock dressed in a dark round necked jumper, is also accused of possessing an offensive weapon in the form of a knife, in Badgeney Road, March, on January 25.

The offence is so serious that it cannot be dealt with by magistrates, so the case was automatically sent to Cambridge Crown Crown.

No application was made for bail, and Lisinskas was remanded in custody until a preliminary hearing at the Cambridge court on Monday.
