A MARCH man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder in connection with a stabbing incident in the town.

Lithuanian Egidijus Lisinska, 35, or Princes Walk, will appear before Fenland Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

He was charged in connection with an incident at Badgeney Road, in which 34-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman had been stabbed.

There were both taken to Peterborough District Hospital where they conditions were today described as "stable".

The injured man and woman were also from March and are believed to be foreign nationals.

Detectives were called to the scene at 9.30am yesterday.
