A JURY has convicted David Goakes of causing the death of Alex Chilvers by dangerous driving.
The verdict was delivered by a jury at Cambridge Crown Court after a five day trial.
Goakes, 20, of Grange Road, March, ran into Alex, also 20, not long after the pair had had an argument in Broad Street, March.
The court had heard how Goakes had been arrested at his home not long after leaving the scene of the crash which left Mr Chilvers dying in the street at around 12.30am.

The court heard from many witnesses, some to the argument that had occurred before the crash and others to the crash itself.
During the trial, the jury heard how Goakes has allegedly failed to use the lights on his Land Rover, that he had driven through a red traffic light and at one point had stopped 100 yards from the scene of the crash before driving on.

Goakes has been bailed to return to Cambridge Crown Court on May 22 when he will be sentenced.
