FESTIVAL fever is about to hit March with a three-day summer extravaganza which starts on Friday and runs until Sunday.

Celebrations get off to a rocking start with a Rock in the Park evening held in West End Park.

On Saturday there will be a fantastic and colourful parade which is based on the theme of Community Heroes.

It will include vintage vehicles and cycles, local organisations and music.

Entertainment on the stage during the afternoon will include shows from the Lisa Dickinson's Dance Mania and Alison's Street Dancing.

A variety of stalls will fill the park and there will be a fancy dress competition.

And as always there will be food and refreshments available around the town including a wonderful hog roast and barbecue.

Saturday night will also host the fantastic Pop in the Park with top local bands and plenty of toe-tapping music for the audience!

And if you are not too worn out then Sunday also promises to be a fun-packed day filled with so much to do.

The festival will continue on Sunday with a Picnic in the Park, and visitors will be entertained by clown and story teller along with music.

And the Alan Norris Big Band will take centre stage for a concert finale in the evening.
