FARIES, goblins, elves and their friends are inviting families along for a magical family outing as Dunhams Wood will be dressed in fairy finery, to host an Enchanted Wood Day.

As well as the usual woodland delights, expect to be charmed by toadstools, magic stones, butterflies and flowers, many of these created by children from All Saints and Westwood schools in March.

Attractions will include various magical workshops for children of all ages, a Pixie Post Office, Wishing Tree, Story Teller, face painting and games.

The Goblin Express will be running, and you are invited to lose yourself in the Mysterious Maze.

Come dressed as fairy folk or a woodland creature - there are prizes for the best costumes.

The afternoon has been organised by Crafting2You, a social enterprise group which aims to bring workshops and opportunities to create art to local adults and children with health, physical or financial restrictions.

The money raised will go towards Christmas Craft workshops for young carers.

Many of the decorations for the Enchanted Wood have been created from materials supplied by Compass Restore, a Peterborough charity.

The event is on Sunday from 2pm-5pm, at Dunhams Wood (signposted off the B1099).

Ticket prices of £2 per adult, 50p per child (or £5 for family ticket) it includes a free drink per child.
